HOW DO FUNERAL PLANS WORK?

A Funeral Plan lets you pay for your funeral in advance and at today's price. It is a way of taking control of the unexpected, setting out the arrangements and limiting the costs by paying for the services included in the funeral plan upfront. It’s practical, sensible, takes the stress & expense away from your loved ones and should be an essential part of your end of life financial planning and will soon be standard practice.

Rise of costs in the last decade

Picture3.png

Even average house prices cant match the rate of rising funeral costs. In 2009, a house cost £164,025 on average. in 2019, that cost went up to 43.1% to £234,853. But if house prices had risen in line with Funeral costs for that decade, the average home would now cost £265,092

If prices continue to rise at the same rate as they have since 2004, the projected average cost of a funeral could reach £5,285 in 3 years’ time.

These projections don’t go beyond the next 3 years, as this would make them unreliable and therefore misleading.
